Publishing projects of the Gerlich Company focus on the local history of town of Odry and its surroundings. We do not publish for-profit only, but want to document our ties to this region where we were born and where we live.

We took upon ourselves a responsibility to preserve mementos and recollections from the past for posterity. For example, the written documents, memories, various objects, and especially old pictures enable us to reflect on interesting periods in European history.

But we do not collect memorabilia only. We try to preserve descriptions of lives and fates of people of this region – the Sudetenland. After the end of WW2, many innocent local people were forced to leave their homeland.

We at least owe a dialogue to these people, or better, an apology for the injustice that was done to them.
